My friends and I use to pretend they were Alka Seltzer and do the commercials. You remember, "Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh was a relief it is..." and "I can't believe I ate the whole thing." Classics. Thanks for the memories.Cynthia Shenettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07089125778529696076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636475161292739868.post-14813761041379996372010-08-15T17:49:54.867-06:002010-08-15T17:49:54.867-06:00Thanks for the memories!!!Thanks for the memories!!!Louise Wilson Bernerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13312611425702994867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636475161292739868.post-57880712856359735252010-08-01T19:59:34.283-06:002010-08-01T19:59:34.283-06:00I had forgotten what enormous fun it is to blow mi...I had forgotten what enormous fun it is to blow milk bubbles through a straw - thanks for the memory! I remember the Minute Man statue in Lexington very well, I took piano lessens in Lexington too. Fizzies were little tablets that you put in a quart of water and they fizzed up for a drink - Root Beer was my favorite. Barbara do you go to Friendly's Ice Cream store in Bedford? We went there almost every Sunday, for an Awful Awful milk shake... LOL They were called that back then - they were "Awful Big" and "Awful Good"..Terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05810829851962238025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636475161292739868.post-43834295023218487592010-08-01T17:35:18.685-06:002010-08-01T17:35:18.685-06:00Oh Terri, I wish you could be back in Bedford, bec...Oh Terri, I wish you could be back in Bedford, because possibly we would know each other in genealogy circles. I lived in the two neighboring towns, Lexington and Chelmsford. Bedford hasn't changed, and Hanscom is still there (I go shopping there). Sorry, never heard of fizzies.Barbara Poolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07440544740334032378noreply@blogger.com
